In short: a Baroxon turnstile gate passes 30 to 40 people per minute as a tripod unit and up to 60 per minute as a speed gate, at £890 to £5,600 per lane in 304 or 316 stainless steel.
The same lane can carry RFID and IC cards, QR codes, fingerprint, palm vein and face recognition readers, so one installation can serve staff, members, students and visitors without a second barrier type. Outdoor models are rated IP54 to IP65 with stainless-steel housings and optional canopies, which suits UK leisure centres, stadiums, schools, factories and transport hubs. Maintenance is limited to routine cleaning plus an annual mechanism inspection, and because the reader, wing, brake and controller are modular items, a failed component can be swapped in under 30 minutes rather than returning the whole lane to the factory. Quantity, material grade and reader type are confirmed at quotation stage.

Each paragraph below states the test condition, the measured value and the benchmark it is compared against, so it can be quoted on its own.
Test condition: single lane with an RFID card reader, pedestrian at normal walking pace. Result: 0.3 s from card present to wing release and a complete passage in 1.6 s. Benchmark: staffed reception checking a paper pass averages 10 to 15 s per person, so one automated lane replaces roughly three staffed entry points at peak.
Test condition: continuous opening and closing cycles at rated load on a tripod turnstile and a speed gate. Result: MCBF above 3,000,000 cycles for both types, equivalent to more than eight years of a 1,000-people-per-day site. Benchmark: low-cost imported turnstiles are generally quoted at 500,000 to 1,000,000 cycles, i.e. a replacement interval of two to three years on the same traffic.
Test condition: 316 stainless-steel housing rated IP65, exposed to a 12.5 mm water jet at 30 kPa and a 96-hour neutral salt-spray test to ASTM B117. Result: no rust bloom on the housing or mechanism after the salt-spray exposure. Benchmark: 304-grade stainless steel, which is the usual specification for indoor lanes, shows surface corrosion under the same coastal test.
Test condition: power removed while the lane is closed and while a person is inside the passage. Result: the wing released in under 1 s and the lane opened for exit, with the manual release operable by a single person. Benchmark: fail-secure-only lanes require a fire-panel signal to open and are not acceptable as the sole escape route in a UK public building.

Good build quality, strong motor. Installation manual is helpful. Only small issue with one remote, solved by aftersales support.
